Meet Our Presenter:
Sister Lany Jo Smith, ASCJ, is an Apostle of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, founded by Blessed Celia Merloni. Currently, she is the director of Sacred Heart on the Lake Retreat Center in Higganum, CT., for the last five years. Sister has been in many different ministries, such as teaching all grades from pre-school to Seniors in high school. She has served in Tampa, Chicago, Sacramento, St. Louis, but the greater part of her adult life has been in the Greater New Haven area. In addition, Sister Lany Jo has done basic nursing, culinary work, the youth minister for the five parishes of West Haven, pastoral ministry, director of high school campus ministry, geriatric ministry and has been involved in giving retreats to many age levels over the last thirty-five years. Sister Lany Jo is delighted to share with us why she believes, that Hope Does Not Disappoint.
Description of the Retreat:
Throughout Salvation history, even in darkest times, God always pulls us through. God never leaves us 'lost and alone'. However, we must walk on in FAITH and live with LOVE as we await His promise in HOPE

St Matthew Church is at 111 Tolland Green,Tolland, CT 06084
Mass will begin in the church at 9 am.
After Mass, we will proceed downstairs to the church hall. Please sign in, pick up your name tag and a hand out. Free will offerings will be accepted there.
Enjoy a continental breakfast and refreshments.
Be ready for Sr. Lany Jo to begin around 10 am. She will lead us throughout the retreat from there.
