Homebound Ministry

Homebound Ministry

Blessed Sacrament Parish has an active Homebound Ministry that connects sick and homebound parishioners with Communion Ministers who make regular visits to pray and bring Holy Communion. This ministry is one of shared faith between two believers, the minister, and the communicant.

We are looking for a few people who are interested in bringing Holy Communion to the sick and homebound. If you are interested in this ministry, please send an email to deacon.mike@cath-comm.org or call Deacon Mike at 860-872-0200 x313

Some of our homebound ministers work in teams. The teams have routes that are assigned on a rotating schedule. The homebound ministers visit the homebound on the route they are assigned. Bob Haggerty coordinates these homebound ministers and maintains the routes and schedules. Most of the routes are in Tolland.

Some of our homebound ministers are assigned an individual who they visit on a regular basis. These homebound ministers may have one or two people they visit. Anne Marie Guadagnino coordinates the homebound ministers who are assigned to individual parishioners. Most of the individual visits are in Vernon.
