Divine Mercy

Divine Mercy Sunday - April 16, 2023

Mark your calendars to celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday. This feast is celebrated the Sunday after Easter. We will gather at St Bernard church, along with our music ministry, to pray the chaplet at 3:00 pm. In the diary of St Faustina, Jesus said to her “On this day the very depths of My tender mercy are open.  I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the Fount of My Mercy…Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet.” (Diary,699)  Beginning on Good Friday, we will have pamphlets available to pray the Novena leading up to Divine Mercy Sunday.

It is a beautiful way to continue our Easter celebration of the Resurrection of Our Lord.

If you missed the live Mass today, you may find the recorded Mass Here
The Novena prayers are also available online at  the Divine Mercy website:  Divine Mercy Novena

The Novena To Divine Mercy traditionally begins on Good Friday for nine days leading up to Divine Mercy Sunday—the Sunday following Easter. Those praying the novena are asked to say a prayer of special intentions on each of the nine days, followed by the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

We can pray this novena any time, but extraordinary graces come when we unite our prayers with Catholics around the world as St. Faustina instructed us.
