For Young Adults in Faith Formation

By the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly initiated into the Church and are enriched with the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. As true witnesses of Christ, the confirmed more completely live their faith by word and deed. In the celebration of this sacrament, the elect are anointed with fragrant chrism oil as a sign of these gifts. The feel and the smell of the oil remind the newly confirmed that the Holy Spirit has conferred blessings and sacred gifts.

The formation process includes two years of classroom instruction as well as spiritual formation supported by service and retreat.

All components must be completed before Father Rick will declare the candidate ready to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

For Adults: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process through which a person who is not baptized or baptized in another faith denomination is fully initiated in the Catholic faith. The RCIA journey includes converts and Catholics who have not received first communion or confirmation. The RCIA group  journeys together in a process of instruction and formation. There are four steps in this process which culminates at the Easter Vigil with the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. The parish community, through its prayers, witness, worship, service, and catechesis, offers the invitation and support for the men and women to be initiated into the Catholic Church. Weekly meetings are held beginning in September and ending in May.
