St. Bernard Women’s Guild

Want to “give back” while having fun? Check us out!

Thriving for more than 70 years, the St. Bernard Women’s Guild acts as a unit to fill spiritual, material and social needs in the parish and local community. We meet at 6pm in the Church Hall the first Tuesday of the month (except January, July and August and September). Meetings may feature speakers and programs, along with fellowship and delicious finger foods! Membership dues are only $5.00 per year.

With the support of the St. Bernard’s Community for our fundraisers and drives, we serve the Lord and one another. Recent fruits of our labor include:

  • Purchases of new altar creche figures; Rectory and Parish Center furniture; Church Hall appliances including refrigerator, freezer, and oven; and privacy screens for small group meetings in the Hall
  • Gifts for First Communion Children, Confirmation Candidates and Catechumens
  • Annual Christmas gifts to the group home residents of Massack Home and Char-Laine Manor
  • Collection and delivery of layette items for Catholic Charities; new toddler clothes as well as school supplies to Hockanum Valley Community Council
  • Quarterly donations of cash to the Cornerstone Foundation
  • Poinsettia plants to the Guild’s Honorary Members and homebound.
  • Sponsorship of various events and functions recommended by the Pastor
