Personal Prayer

Questions to Reflect on:

Where do you place God in your life?  Is He at the top of your pyramid?  We become closer to God when we take time for quiet prayer each day.

Some people meditate on the daily scripture readings and reflect on what God might be telling them.

Some people use a format like Lectio Divina, the Ignatian Examen, or Matthew Kelly’s Prayer Process.

Some stop by church each day to spend quiet time with God. Others have a little prayer table in a separate corner of a room.  There are people who take a walk with God each day.

Some people pray the rosary or the Divine Mercy Chaplet each day. Many try to go to weekday Mass when they can.

It doesn’t matter where you spend daily time with God... He is as close to you as your breath.  Just be really present!

What do you do to help yourself grow in your relationship with God?

How can you make spending time with God a habit, a daily priority?  Make a commitment.  Even if you don’t know what to say, just show up each day!  It will make a difference in your life!
