Cornerstone Food Cupboard & Tolland Food Pantry Requests

Cornerstone Food Cupboards

We are running very low on some of the basic food items we usually include in our food assistance for our families. Connecticut Foodshare, which has been our major source of food since we opened is also experiencing a significant decrease in the food they can offer pantries such as our Cupboard. And we are also experiencing a decrease in food donations which happens annually as we move into the summer.

We especially need the following nonperishable food items:

  • Boxes of dry pasta (macaroni, spaghetti, etc.)
  • Cans of condensed soup
  • Cans of vegetables
  • Cans of beans (baked, black, cannellini, etc.)
  • Canned pasta

We prefer regular size items rather than large, family size items that usually add too much weight to the bags of food we distribute.

Grocery store gift cards are always welcome. They allow us to purchase food in response to new needs. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Donations can be left in the vestibules at St. Bernard Church and someone from the Food Cupboard will pick items up weekly.

Or items be delivered to the Cupboard (3 Prospect Street, Rockville, in the rear of the building) on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday mornings or can be left at the Soup Kitchen (15 Prospect Street, Rockville) at other times.
